Our Beach

I believe it was Barianna that mentioned her boys haven't seen the beach,so I thought I would give them a sneek preview of our beach. This was taken during high tide on a fairly windy day. So the waves are fairly strong. Most of the time there is ample room for children to play on the beach. The above pictures were taken on different days during winter months.

Is the water ever warm enough to play in?

Heavens no, in all honesty, when we use to go Kayaking in that area you have 10 minutes to get out of the water before you catch hypothermia. That was in the summer.

Gee, that sounds like fun. We should invent a new game, last one out of the water to see who can turn the bluest... without going into a coma. I wonder what would happen if you did wash up on the beach, suffering from hypothermia, could you build a fire with the driftwood with out pissing off the locals?.... Chuckle...

I think you would fair better trying to just shiver yourself warm, using the driftwood is like a death sentince(don't ask me to explain why)
Sounds like a fun game, allthough with me being as slow as I am you would need to show us how the game is plaid by going in first.

The drift wood is critical to the salmon population. At high tide it offers them protection and a place to hang out and soak up wi-fi on their lap tops.

I think by the time I was done demonstrating the basics, I would end up being the slowest of all of you... frozen stiff! After learing how important the drift wood is to the samon population, I can now see that desturbing the drift wood in any way, would disturb the whole ecological ballance of the Bay. Especially since the driftwood is so sparce and very hard to come by, I remember searching high and low to find justa stick of it.... "grinning" insatiously" Just a thought, wouldn't Salmon be hesitant to soak up WiFi... I thought they hated NETworks! ...Booo

We have a "nut case" at our beach that get's irate if you even move the driftwood. He feels like mother nature has an exact plan for every piece of driftwood and if one piece is dislodged from its forordained position the entire universe will fall out of alignment causing an infinite number of black holes to form, compressing everything we know and love into a single particle with so much gravitation pull that all light in the universe would cease to exist.

That would ruin my whole day and would really upset the "nut case" on the beach.

Does the "nut case" have WiFi? If he did, he might be less inclined to worry so much about the delicate ecological balance that an over abundance of driftwood has... or doesn’t have considering what kind of "nut" you are. If he did have wireless, he could then join the fishes.
