Where are we going?

Our cats have boxed themselves up and are waiting but there's no place to ship them.

Whose garden is this?

There are a number of plants and flowers that are deer resistant, obviously we need to re-evaluate our selection of plants.

Oh Deer!

Janet has enticed a number of deer by locating a deer feeding block right outside our new down stair doors. We've had a lot of fun watching them.

Finished Kitchen Floors and Wainscoting.

We're finished! As you can see we threw in Wainscoting. Only took us six weeks.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but, isn't this Casey's bed. What are these guys doing on it?

Hardwood floors in the kitchen.

In the top picture you can see the linoleum that was exposed when we moved the new cabinets over. You can also see that the parquet next to the linoleum was coming apart. We finished the last coat of finish yesterday and today I put the molding on below the cabinets. Tomorrow I will begin putting wall boards on and add bead board to the walls.

Just wanted to let you know we are still here and still remodeling.

Lauren's Blessing

Last weekend we joined Reed and Cathy and headed on down to Issaquah to attend Lauren's Blessing. Bill had made the trip from Colorado. We all had a great time and ate too many cookies. I am working carefully to rectify my diet.

The eagle has landed.

This is an eagle that has landed on a water pump shed on a farm near our house. I didn't think I had a very good shot of it until I cropped it out of the picture an blew it up.

A Visitor

Janet has bird feeders on our front deck. Many small finches come in large groups to feed; however; today I noticed someone new had come to visit. Before jumping to the conclusion that this is a large dove, take another look at it's beek in the upper picture.

Bob and Carol's Visit

In October Bob and Carol visited us. We had a great time riding ferries, hiking, shopping, sitting around talking, and sleeping in late.

Animal Kingdom

What can I say. It's so hard to get anything done around here when no one seem to want to work!

Live Star Fish

At nights we've had negative tides and are able to walk way out beyond the beach with flash lights and find star fish fastened to the lower sides of large bolders. The color is accurate, they are a deep purple.

Where is this ferry headed?

Shouldn't one of these two be paying attention to where they are going to be sure they get back.
